Kelly, originally from Richmond, Virginia, grew up dancing and training with the Latin Ballet of Virginia. Kelly then attended The Ohio State University where she enjoyed the privilege of performing in new works by Melanie Bales, Bebe Miller, Victoria Uris, and Ming-Lung Yang. After graduating Summa Cum Laude with a BFA in Dance in 2010, Kelly relocated to Boston. Through her studies with Like You Mean It and The Architects, Kelly discovered her love for dance improvisation. As a founding member of P.I.E. (Performance Improvisation Ensemble), Kelly became interested in ways of incorporating improvisation and collaboration into her choreographic process. Kelly currently dances for Annie Kloppenberg and continues to make her own work.
