Rachel is an Assistant Professor of Dance at Bates College.A performer, choreographer, and video editor, her work often combines media and disciplines. Recent collaborations have been shown at AUNTS for Camera at the New Museum in New York, NY (Vanessa Justice), SPACE Gallery in Portland, ME (Jesse Sugarmann), and Velocity Dance Center in Seattle, WA (Carol Dilley). She is currently performing with Annie Kloppenberg, Lisa Race, and in FORWARD/AFTERWARD, an ongoing collaboration with Kloppenberg and Meredith Lyons. Boggia has recently co-produced and performed in works by ALTERNATIVA/Kathleen Hermesdorf+Albert Matthias and Headlong Dance Theater. She works with Marlon Barrios Solano on Meta-Academy, an experiment in translating dance practices to the internet, which was featured at Motion Bank in Frankfurt, Germany and in Contact Quarterly. Boggia has served on the faculty of Wesleyan University, Dickinson College, The Bates Dance Festival, among others. She holds an MFA from The Ohio State University and a BS from Cornell University.
