Class Description
Yoga encourages us draw our attention inward in order to engage more fully with the world around us. My classes focus on expanding awareness of the physical body, the energetic body, and the communities we inhabit—including each class community. Paying careful attention to breath and taking a nuanced approach to alignment, I teach a vigorous Vinyasa flow class augmented by detailed alignment cues. My teaching style is both direct and lighthearted. The practice of yoga teaches us about ourselves and allows us to delight and surprise ourselves by what we notice and what we do. By teaching challenging and creative sequences coupled with restorative stretches, students are encouraged to challenge themselves to meet their own edges and to take time to recharge, to take a fresh approach from class to class and from moment to moment within each class.
